In April 2001, the initiative Education is Future was founded by Christine Sontag, Simone Wiltschko, Martina Althuber and Regina Augustin in cooperation with the Indian priest Jesu Sathianathen.

An active group consisting of about ten people from Salzburg organized and planned the current events and activities. Many more friends help with the implementation of these ideas.

Today about 80 Austrians support this project. In 2002, the COPE trust was founded
